About these terms
TeechTempo is an independent teacher-preparation project operated by Luke Taylor. These terms describe permitted use of the public catalog and the restricted workspace. Last updated October 22, 2026. The public catalog is free; the workspace is a private prototype. No subscription, public teacher account, or school service agreement is offered through this release.
Adult educator use
The service is intended for adult educators and adults preparing teaching materials, not for student accounts or independent use by children. Use it only if you are at least 18 and able to agree to these terms, or otherwise legally authorized. You are responsible for obtaining any approval your employer or school requires. Access does not establish a contract with your school or district.
Keep student and sensitive information out
Do not enter or upload student names, initials that could identify a student, contact details, identification numbers, grades, student work containing identifiers, faces, behavior reports, medical information, IEPs, or other education records. Do not upload confidential employer information or another person’s sensitive information. Use fictional examples and publicly available aggregate data. These restrictions reduce collection; they are not a guarantee that prohibited information cannot be entered, or a certification of FERPA, COPPA, HIPAA, state-law compliance, or district approval.
Your account and materials
Keep access to your account secure. You retain the rights you hold in materials you create or upload. Upload only material you own or are authorized to use. You grant the operator a limited, nonexclusive permission to store, reproduce, transmit, and display that material only as needed to operate and maintain your workspace and its requested features, comply with law, and address security or support issues. This is not permission to sell your materials or publish them as a public lesson. Preserve your own backup copies.
Catalog resources and copyright
Catalog titles and factual metadata identify third-party resources. TeechTempo writes its own summaries, general planning companions, and subject illustrations. You may use, adapt, and print TeechTempo’s original teaching companions and practice templates for your own educational preparation and classroom teaching. This permission does not include reselling the catalog or its illustrations as a separate product, and does not change any third-party resource license. Linked lesson pages, documents, datasets, images, and videos remain with their respective providers. A link, credit, or catalog listing does not grant a copying, adaptation, redistribution, or commercial-use license. Check each original resource’s terms and third-party credits. No NASA, JPL, Caltech, Census Bureau, school, or other provider endorsement is claimed. Do not remove required notices or use provider logos without authorization.
Teaching judgment, preparation, and safety
A catalog entry is a planning companion, not the complete provider lesson or a substitute for its instructions. Read the full original teacher guide, complete materials and quantities, prerequisites, assessment guidance, and safety requirements before teaching. Review tools, food allergies, small parts, projectiles, temperature tests, liquids, electricity, supervision, accessibility, and age suitability where relevant. Never consume classroom test water. Source-specific warnings and school safety procedures control over an abbreviated preview. Group-size, timing, preparation, and learning-support tags are suggestions and are not individualized special education or professional recommendations.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful or infringing material, malware, harmful code, or student records; harass or impersonate others; access another user’s materials; bypass access controls; interfere with the service; or misrepresent its ownership, affiliations, or capabilities. Do not use the service to make decisions about a student’s eligibility, placement, health, or accommodations. The operator may restrict access or remove content reasonably necessary to address misuse, rights complaints, security, legal obligations, or operation of the prototype.
External services and privacy
Following an external resource link or choosing to load a video connects your browser to that provider under its own terms and privacy practices. Hosting, authentication, and service delivery may process connection or account information. The short privacy notices explain the current prototype, but these Terms are not a substitute for a complete Privacy Policy or a school data-processing agreement. Do not rely on the service for confidential records. Review the privacy notices before using the workspace.
Availability and changes
The prototype may change, become unavailable, or be discontinued. External resources may move or change. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, automatic synchronization, complete accuracy, curriculum alignment, or that every resource will suit every classroom. Export important plans and keep independent copies. Material updates to these Terms will be identified with a new date; using an existing account does not waive any notice or consent rights provided by law.
Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and editorial materials are provided as available and as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or availability. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from service use, including lost data or interrupted work. These provisions do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections, or liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. Nothing here guarantees that a disclaimer will apply to a particular claim.
Law and other rights
New York law governs these Terms except where applicable law requires otherwise. Mandatory consumer rights remain in effect. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. No arbitration agreement, class-action waiver, or transfer of ownership in your content is created by these Terms.
Contact and rights concerns
The operator is Luke Taylor. A public teechtempo.com support mailbox is being configured and is not yet available for receiving notices. This public-preview release does not offer public accounts or uploads. Authorized private-prototype users should use their existing direct contact with the operator for support, accidental sensitive uploads, or rights concerns. Do not send student records with a report. A verified public contact channel must be added before broader account availability. This notice does not claim registration of a DMCA agent or DMCA safe-harbor qualification.
